A topographic survey of the Sourhope Field Experiment Site was conducted in the Spring of 2000 by Mick Whelan and Stuart Bradley (University of Stirling). In addition to the various maps generated, the raw data is also available for those who wish to match this information to their own data, or analyse it in more detail.

A downloadable file is available for Programme members on the Soil Biodiversity Programme 'extranet'

A.  Site Level Maps

The following two maps are first draughts of complete topographic survey conducted at the Rigg Foot plot, Sourhope, which give and overall picture of the site's topography. Please note: These contour maps represent interim results - better quality maps including sub-plot boundaries within each treatment can be found in section B below.

Field boundary fence

+ Treatment boundary

Smaller dots indicate individual survey points and will be removed from definitive versions.

More detailed images than those given above which show the Sub-plot boundaries and have a 50cm cell grid overlay are held on the Soil Biodiversity Programme 'extranet'.
